Le 6 octobre dernier, les clients de<b> Bell<\/b> en voyage \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tranger se sont soudainement retrouv\u00e9s priv\u00e9s de connexion internet. Pr\u00e8s de cinq heures sans donn\u00e9es mobiles pour ceux qui tentaient de consulter leurs emails ou trouver leur chemin dans une ville \u00e9trang\u00e8re.<\/p><p>La cause de cette interruption ? Un probl\u00e8me technique bien concret. Le syst\u00e8me qui g\u00e8re la facturation de l&rsquo;itin\u00e9rance chez Bell a tout simplement atteint ses limites. <b><i>\u00ab\u00a0Ce syst\u00e8me qui tracke votre consommation de donn\u00e9es a rencontr\u00e9 un probl\u00e8me de capacit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb<\/i><\/b>, explique l&rsquo;entreprise dans son rapport au CRTC.<\/p><p>Imaginez la sc\u00e8ne : des familles en vacances incapables de partager leurs photos, des voyageurs d&rsquo;affaires ne pouvant acc\u00e9der \u00e0 leurs documents&#8230; Heureusement, les appels d&rsquo;urgence restaient possibles.<\/p><p>Les \u00e9quipes de <b>Bell <\/b>ont mis environ quatre heures \u00e0 trouver la solution. Leur astuce ? Contourner temporairement le syst\u00e8me de facturation d\u00e9faillant. Une manoeuvre technique qui a permis de r\u00e9tablir le service tout en augmentant la capacit\u00e9 du syst\u00e8me pour \u00e9viter que cela ne se reproduise.<\/p><p>Bonne nouvelle pour les prochains voyageurs : <b>Bell <\/b>promet que son syst\u00e8me sera modifi\u00e9 pour que l&rsquo;itin\u00e9rance ne d\u00e9pende plus d&rsquo;un seul \u00e9l\u00e9ment technique.
