Apple may be introducing a new wearable accessory for its upcoming iPhone 17 series: a shoulder strap. Leaked images of the strap surfaced online just days ahead of Apple’s “Awe Dropping” event this week.
Photos shared on X show a vibrant orange strap designed to work with Apple’s TechWoven iPhone 17 cases. According to leaker Sonny Dickson, the strap features a metal core and magnetic connectors, allowing users to easily attach and remove their device while on the move.
The TechWoven cases are expected to replace the controversial FineWoven line. The new cases are reportedly more durable, offer improved grip, and are made of synthetic fabric. Their design also includes small integrated openings to accommodate accessories such as this shoulder strap.
Apple has previously released wearable accessories for its devices. For example, the AirPods Pro 2 supported a cord attachment for their charging case.
The “Awe Dropping” event is scheduled for September 9 at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, where Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 lineup alongside new accessories and other products. Pricing for the shoulder strap in Canada has not yet been announced.
