Cogeco officially launched its mobile service in Canada on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The offer is available exclusively to the company’s internet subscribers, with a remarkable promotion: the first two mobile plans come with one year free. CEO Frédéric Perron made it clear that the mobile service is only accessible to customers who already have Cogeco home internet. This bundle strategy is designed to boost customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive market.

Three no‑contract cell phone plans
Cogeco unveils three no-contract mobile plans:
$19/month: Unlimited calls and texts, no data
$29/month: Unlimited calls and texts with 10 GB of data
$39/month: Unlimited calls and texts with 20 GB of data
The $19 and $29 plans are free for the first year. Customers must bring their own device, as Cogeco does not currently sell phones. Unused data can be rolled over to the following month, and any additional features must be explicitly approved by the user.
Gradual geographic rollout
Cogeco is launching its mobile service in 13 cities across Quebec and Ontario. In Quebec, the service is available in Alma, Magog, Rimouski, Saint-Georges, Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Sauveur, Sept-Îles, and Trois-Rivières. In Ontario, it includes Brockville, Chatham, Cobourg, Cornwall, and Welland. A full rollout across both provinces is planned for fall 2025. The service relies on Telus and AT&T networks. While there are no plans to expand beyond Quebec and Ontario, early demand has already exceeded expectations.
