TV series fans in Canada have a new reason to celebrate. Crave has quietly unveiled its ad-supported Standard plan on Prime Video Channels, creating an unexpected opportunity for savvy users. The listed price raises eyebrows: $11.99 per month, exactly $3 less than Crave’s standard rate.
The art of double savings
This move creates a clear advantage for Prime subscribers. They save on their Crave subscription while getting the benefits of the Standard plan, including up to four simultaneous streams and 4K quality, for the price of the Basic plan.
Prime Video’s ad-free option, at an extra $2.99, does not apply to Crave content. Ads will still appear when watching The Last of Us or The White Lotus, an important detail for viewers before subscribing.
Crave’s standalone app remains fully available on all devices, from consoles to smart TVs. The expansion onto Prime Video is a strategy to reach a wider audience and help Amazon strengthen the appeal of its Channels amid fierce streaming competition.
