Google isn’t holding back with its new generation of smartphones. The Pixel 10 series arrives with no fewer than four models, joined by the Pixel Watch 4 and the new Pixel Buds. The only catch: some models will require a bit of patience.

The Mountain View giant unveiled its latest Pixel lineup during its fall launch event. And it’s fair to say Google went big this year with four variations: from the classic Pixel 10 to the spectacular Pixel 10 Pro Fold, including the Pro and Pro XL.

Just like last year, Google is opting for a staggered release. The most eager fans will be able to get their hands on three of the four smartphones starting August 28, while the foldable model and accessories won’t arrive until October.

A lineup that covers all bases

Pixel 10 kicks things off at CAD $1,099 with a 6.3-inch OLED display and 12GB of RAM. Google goes for a clean design available in four colors: Frost, Lemongrass, Indigo and Obsidian. A notable detail is that it’s the only model in the lineup to feature a side-mounted fingerprint reader instead of an in-display one.

Pixel 10 Pro raises the price to CAD $1,349 but enhances the experience with 16GB of RAM and a more advanced triple-camera system. The display keeps the same size but upgrades the resolution and offers a wider adaptive refresh rate.

Pixel 10 Pro XL pushes things further with a 6.8-inch screen and a 5,200mAh battery. At CAD $1,629, it clearly targets power users who can’t live without a big display.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold crowns the lineup at CAD $2,399 with its all-new foldable design. It comes with two screens for two use cases: a 6.4-inch external display and an 8-inch internal one when unfolded. It is built to redefine mobile productivity, provided you are ready to pay the price.

The Tensor G5 in every model

Google opted for uniformity on the processor side. All four smartphones feature the new Tensor G5, the fifth generation of its in-house chip. This ensures a consistent software experience across the entire lineup, even if the differences in RAM may be noticeable in more demanding use cases.

Android 16 comes pre-installed on all models, promising deep integration with Google services and next-generation AI features. This partly explains the overall price increase for the 2025 lineup.

On the camera front, Google differentiates the models clearly. The base Pixel 10 has a dual-camera system with 5x optical zoom, while the Pro versions feature a more advanced triple-camera setup.

Front cameras follow the same pattern, with 10.5 megapixels on the standard model and 42 megapixels on the Pro models. This makes a noticeable difference for selfie lovers and video call users.

The ecosystem is rounded out with the Pixel Watch 4, available in two sizes (41 and 45 mm) and multiple finishes. Prices range from $480 to $680 depending on the chosen configuration.

The Pixel Buds also come in two versions: the Buds 2a at $179 and the Buds Pro 2 at $299, with the latter available starting August 28.

Key Release Dates

  • August 28: Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and Pixel Buds Pro 2

  • October 9: Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a

This staggered rollout lets Google pace its announcements and gives supply chains time to keep up, especially for the complex foldable model.

Whether this ambitious upmarket strategy will resonate with consumers remains to be seen, especially with tough competition from Samsung and Apple in the premium segment.
