Nothing’s latest mid-range flagship is now officially available in Canada. Combining an all-metal design, a periscope zoom camera, and a competitive price that goes head-to-head with the iPhone 17e and Pixel 10a.

All-metal design and a bigger, brighter Glyph Matrix

The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro signals a significant design shift for the brand: out goes plastic, in comes an aircraft-grade aluminum unibody at just 7.95mm thin. Which Nothing claims makes it the thinnest full-metal phone on the market. The Glyph Matrix, the brand’s signature rear LED system, is now over 50 percent larger and twice as bright as the one on the Phone (3), with 137 precision mini-LEDs. It can display Uber Eats delivery progress, battery status, and contact-specific notifications using custom emoji assignments. The phone is available in silver, black, and pink.

Mid-range specs with flagship ambitions

The Phone (4a) Pro runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The 6.83-inch display (17.35 cm) hits a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels. With a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. A 5,080mAh battery with 50W wired charging keeps things running. And the phone carries an IP65 rating for water resistance up to 25cm for 20 minutes. It ships with Android 16 and Nothing OS 4.1.

Triple camera with a 140x periscope zoom

Camera hardware is one of the (4a) Pro’s stronger arguments. There is a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 140x digital zoom. Which Nothing claims is the highest digital zoom of any phone in its global market category. An 8MP ultrawide rounds out the rear array. A 32MP front camera supports 4K video recording. The ultrawide resolution is modest for 2026, but a periscope lens at this price point remains genuinely rare.

Where to buy in Canada and which plan to pair with it

In Canada, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is available directly from Nothing’s website and at BestBuy. Both in stores and online. Pricing starts at $649 for the 8GB + 128GB model and $799 for the 12GB + 256GB version. The standard Phone (4a) is not yet available in Canada. (Release Date: April 14, 2026) No Canadian carrier is currently offering the device on a subsidized plan. Making it a natural fit for a BYOD setup. Comparing BYOD plans on PlanHub.ca can significantly reduce your monthly costs. And help you get the most out of this purchase.
