The next OnePlus flagship is already making waves thanks to a striking new color that may be the darkest ever seen on a consumer phone.
Darker than black
According to recent leaks, the OnePlus 15 could arrive in a finish called “SuperBlack”, described as being as deep as a “black hole”. This bold design choice is said to be part of a major visual overhaul for the brand.
Early leaked images also suggest a completely redesigned rear camera module, featuring a triple 50MP setup with a periscope telephoto lens. This move could firmly place OnePlus back in the ultra-premium mobile photography segment.
Specs that push boundaries
On the display side, rumors point to a flat LIPO panel measuring between 6.7 and 6.78 inches with slim, symmetrical bezels. But the real showstopper could be the battery. Reports claim OnePlus is aiming for a massive 7,000 mAh capacity, promising multi-day use without a recharge.
Canadian availability still unclear
If OnePlus sticks to tradition, the device will launch in China at the end of 2025 followed by a global rollout in early 2026. For Canadian buyers, things remain uncertain. The brand typically favors selling unlocked devices through its own channels rather than carrier partnerships, so local 5G band compatibility will be worth watching.
Potential buyers in Canada may need to consider importing the device or wait for official confirmation on local availability. Since OnePlus does not have the same retail presence as Samsung or Apple in Canada, accessibility could be a real challenge for this premium model.
Whether this daring aesthetic shift will be enough to reignite interest in a brand searching for differentiation in an overcrowded market remains to be seen.
