POCO isn’t waiting for 2026 to make noise. From Bali, Xiaomi’s sub-brand has just lifted the curtain on two new phones that could seriously shake up the mid-range market: the F8 Pro and the F8 Ultra. Less than a year after the F7 Pro, the brand is back with smartphones that pack real flagship power while keeping prices surprisingly low.
A bold partnership with Bose
This is probably the biggest surprise of the launch. POCO has partnered with Bose to bring a sound experience unlike anything we’ve heard on its phones before. The F8 Ultra features three speakers, including a tiny built-in subwoofer tucked near the camera module. The result promises a richer, deeper sound whether you’re listening to music or recording video.
In a world where brands mostly focus on camera collaborations, POCO is taking a fresh approach. By betting on sound quality, the company is finding a new way to stand out.
Top-tier specs without the top-tier price
Inside, the F8 Ultra runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the most powerful Android chip available right now. It comes with a 6,500 mAh battery, 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, all wrapped around a 6.9-inch 120Hz OLED display.
The F8 Pro is a bit more affordable but still solid, powered by the previous Snapdragon 8 Elite. It keeps the same 120Hz OLED panel, this time in a slightly smaller 6.59-inch format, and houses a 6,210 mAh battery. You still get ultra-fast wired charging, though wireless is off the table.

On the camera side, the F8 Ultra gets serious with a 50MP 5x periscope zoom lens, supported by two other 50MP sensors (wide and ultra-wide). It’s a first for POCO and clearly inspired by Xiaomi’s flagship models. The F8 Pro, meanwhile, comes with a 2.5x zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Built to last, ready to launch
Both phones come with IP68 certification, meaning they can handle water and dust. The F8 Ultra uses a new in-house reinforced glass, while the F8 Pro relies on Gorilla Glass 7i, which should be more than enough for daily bumps and drops.
The POCO F8 Pro and F8 Ultra hit the market on December 10, 2025, with aggressive launch offers including discounts, Spotify and YouTube Premium subscriptions, breakage insurance and even a free Xiaomi air fryer.
With a flagship chip, a surprising collaboration with Bose and prices well below the competition, POCO is once again proving that premium doesn’t have to mean expensive. The mid-range market just got a serious wake-up call.
