Rogers and its subsidiary Fido have announced a change to their roaming rates effective August 7, 2025. The new daily rates will increase by $2 compared to current prices.

For travel to the United States, the daily cost will rise from $14 to $16 with both providers. As for international roaming outside the U.S., the rate will go from $16 to $18 per day. This update makes Rogers the provider with the highest U.S. roaming fees on the Canadian market.

Freedom Mobile stands out with its “Roam Beyond” passes priced at $30 for 30 days across 50 destinations, including 5GB of data. The operator also offers eSIM plans starting at $10 for 1GB, available to all users regardless of their main provider.

eSIM: A Strategic Alternative to Rising Rates
