We now know that the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to be unveiled on February 25, 2026. But as that date draws closer, one design detail is drawing all the attention: the Ultra model could lose its distinctive visual identity to blend more seamlessly with the rest of the series.

The Subtle Revolution of Angles

The news comes from the usual sources that reliably fuel smartphone rumors. UniverseIce, a well-known leaker, shared on X some protective case photos that speak volumes. They reveal a Galaxy S26 Ultra with distinctly rounded corners, finally adopting the same curve as its smaller siblings, the S26 and S26+. This change may seem minor, but it marks a symbolic turning point. For years, the Ultra model stood out with its sharper, more angular design. The S24 Ultra featured squared corners, the S25 Ultra had already softened them slightly, but now the S26 Ultra completes this transition toward a rounded shape. Behind this evolution likely lies a desire for visual harmony. Samsung seems to want a more unified design language across its premium lineup. The revealed cases also hint at extremely thin bezels, promising an even more immersive display experience. The question remains: how will purists react to this standardization? While uniformity has its virtues, it also erases what once made the flagship truly unique. One thing is certain: come February, Samsung’s big reveal will undoubtedly hold many more surprises.
