In response to evolving consumer needs, Bell is undertaking a comprehensive transformation of its services. The telecommunications giant is unveiling a series of concrete changes that will affect internet, television, and mobile services in the coming weeks.
A redesign of the customer experience
Television is undergoing its biggest revolution since the arrival of digital technology: Bell is eliminating traditional set-top boxes in favor of a single app available on all your devices. At the same time, the company will launch its internet service in British Columbia and Alberta and introduce clearer mobile plans with better-defined service levels.
Enhanced reliability and coverage
Starting in 2026, Bell will roll out two major innovations. The “Uninterrupted Internet” service will combine fiber optics and 5G to ensure connectivity even during outages. That same year, a satellite service will enable direct calls to mobile phones, eliminating dead zones.
Additionally, Bell is streamlining its brands: Virgin Plus will no longer offer internet and TV services in Ontario starting January 2026, but will remain active in mobile. Content enthusiasts will benefit from expanded bundled offers combining Crave, TSN/RDS, and other partner services. This new approach promises to redefine the telecommunications landscape in Canada.
