Freedom Mobile is expanding its horizons. The company, best known for its affordable mobile plans, is now stepping into the world of 5G home Internet. A new offer designed for those who want a simple, contract-free, cable-free, and low-cost connection.
An offer initially reserved for existing customers
The service, still in its rollout phase, will be available in select regions across the country. At first, only Freedom Mobile subscribers will have access through an email invitation. Others can sign up on the company’s website to be notified when spots open up.
Access to 5G Internet requires an active mobile plan. However, Freedom offers a three-month grace period for users who end their mobile subscription before suspending their home Internet service.
Simple and transparent plans
Three options are available:
200 GB for $24/month ($60 without a mobile plan)
600 GB for $24/month ($80 without a mobile plan)
1 TB for $44/month ($100 without a mobile plan)
Speeds reach up to 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. Each plan includes the Nokia Gateway Wi-Fi 7 modem, provided free for two years, along with a “Price Freeze” guarantee that locks the rate as long as the customer keeps their mobile plan.
A solution designed for light users
With this initiative, Freedom aims to attract households looking for an affordable and hassle-free Internet connection. While the speeds and data caps may not satisfy heavy users, the offer is appealing for students, retirees, or small households. By launching this service, Freedom Mobile is stepping onto the turf of Canada’s telecom giants, offering a flexible mobile alternative to traditional Internet. A small revolution that could reshape the Canadian market.
