Google smartphone fans may want to mark their calendars. The successor to the very popular Pixel 9a, the Pixel 10a, is expected to be officially unveiled on February 18, 2026, according to well known leaker billbil kun, via Dealabs. The device would then go on sale as early as March 5.
The timing is surprising. Last year, the Pixel 9a was not introduced until mid March. This year, Google is moving several weeks ahead, likely aiming to secure an early position before a particularly busy launch season begins.
Pricing expected to remain stable
Good news for buyers concerned about rising prices. According to the same source, Google plans to keep pricing unchanged in Europe. The 128 GB version would be offered at 549 euros, while the 256 GB model would be priced at 649 euros.
What about Canada. Nothing is official yet, but local pricing usually follows a similar pattern. It is therefore very likely that the Pixel 10a will arrive at around 679 dollars, the same entry price as its predecessor. A strategy that clearly reflects Google’s desire to maintain stability in a market where every increase is closely watched.
The proven “a” series formula continues
Very few technical details have surfaced so far, but the philosophy of the “a” lineup is unlikely to change. Google is expected to once again deliver the core of its experience, especially its clean software and well known image processing, in a more affordable package.
The teased colors, Obsidian Black, Fog Gray, Lavender and Berry, match the brand’s modern and colorful identity. The mentioned configuration with 8 GB of RAM should also ensure smooth performance for everyday use.
A confident bet
By launching its mid range model earlier while keeping prices under control, Google is sending a clear message. The company is relying on the trust built by the “a” series, which has become a reference for buyers looking for strong value without giving up on software innovation.
Competition from Asian brands remains intense, but the timing and pricing strategy appear well chosen to appeal to Canadian consumers in search of a safe and reliable option. The final answer will come on February 18.
