Samsung has never hidden its ambition to push the limits of foldable smartphones, but this time the brand is going even further. Its brand-new Galaxy Z TriFold introduces a whole new concept with three connected screens, offering an experience that blends phone, tablet, and mini-computer.
A device that changes the game
The Galaxy Z TriFold impresses from the very first use. Once unfolded, it offers a large 10-inch display, perfect for reading, multitasking or streaming. YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss, one of the first to try it, praised the smooth experience and flexible multitasking mode, which can display three apps at the same time without slowing down.
Samsung also kept demanding users in mind. The TriFold comes with a Snapdragon for Galaxy processor, a 5600 mAh battery divided into three modules and 45 W fast charging, with the charger included. It also features an improved Samsung DeX mode that turns the smartphone into a true portable workstation.
An innovation that still needs time to mature
While the concept is impressive, it’s not without flaws. The phone is bulky and quite heavy, weighing over 300 grams. The central crease is still visible, and the inner surface lacks scratch resistance. The camera module also sticks out enough to make the phone wobble when placed on a table.
Despite these imperfections, the overall experience gives a clear glimpse of the future of foldable phones, a device capable of doing everything without compromising on power or versatility.
Price and availability
The Galaxy Z TriFold will make its debut in South Korea at a price of around $3,000. It’s expensive, yes, but the technology inside makes it a worthy investment for those who want to stay at the cutting edge of innovation. A launch in Canada is already planned.
With the Z TriFold, Samsung reinforces its lead in the foldable market and proves that it’s no longer just refining its concepts, but aiming to redefine the very shape of the smartphone.
