After a year of collecting reviews from Canadians across the country, PlanHub is proud to reveal the winners of the 2026 PlanHub Awards for mobile providers. These results are driven entirely by real user experiences, measured across six key criteria: overall satisfaction, network quality, billing transparency, digital experience, customer service, and onboarding experience.

Whether you are already on a plan or thinking about switching, these rankings give you a clear, data-backed picture of which carriers are actually delivering for their subscribers.

Fizz: The Undisputed Winner of 2026

With 461 verified reviews and an overall score of 82.45 out of 100, Fizz dominates the 2026 PlanHub Awards for mobile. The digital-first carrier takes home four awards this year:

  • User’s Choice (Best Overall Ranking) — 82.45/100
  • Best Digital Experience — 81.78/100
  • Best Onboarding Experience — 85.83/100
  • Best Fair Billing (Fair and Transparent Billing Award) — 89.20/100

Fizz’s billing score of 89.20 is the highest single-category score in the entire dataset, which speaks to how clearly the carrier communicates costs to its users. In a market where hidden fees and surprise charges are a common complaint, this result stands out.

Public Mobile: Best Network in Canada

Public Mobile earns the Best Network Award with a score of 77.72 out of 100. What makes this result particularly striking is that Public Mobile runs on Telus infrastructure — yet outscores Telus itself in network satisfaction (72.36). This points to a satisfaction gap driven by price, expectations, and the overall value perception that flanker brands can sometimes deliver better than their parent companies.

Videotron: Best Customer Service

Videotron wins the Best Customer Service Award with a score of 74.45 out of 100, beating Fizz (73.23) to become the only carrier to outperform Fizz in any category. The Quebec-based operator’s win suggests that regional carriers with a more localized approach can offer a human service experience that national giants struggle to match.

What These Results Tell Us About Canadian Telecom

The gap between Fizz and the Big Three is significant. Rogers (65.86), Bell (68.06), and Telus (70.03) all land in the middle to lower half of the rankings, well behind digital-first and regional providers. This pattern suggests that Canadians are increasingly satisfied with leaner, app-based carriers that offer straightforward pricing and smooth digital experiences.
