GalaxyTab A7 Lite: Full Specifications

Samsung positions the GalaxyTab A7 Lite as a compact entry level tablet built around portability rather than outright power. Its 8.7 inch TFT display with 1340 x 800 resolution keeps the footprint small, and the metal body helps it feel sturdier than many basic tablets in the same class. At 212.5 x 124.7 x 8.0 mm and about 366 g for the Wi Fi model, it is light enough for reading, streaming, casual games, and everyday browsing on the move. Samsung pairs that screen with stereo speakers in landscape orientation, a MediaTek octa core processor, and configurations with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM plus 32 GB or 64 GB of storage, with microSD expansion up to 1 TB. The camera setup is simple but practical, with an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, a 2 MP front camera, and video recording up to 1080p at 30 fps. A 5,100 mAh battery, USB C, Bluetooth 5.0, dual band Wi Fi ac, GPS support, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack round out the essentials. Depending on version, the GalaxyTab A7 Lite was also offered in LTE variants with a SIM tray for mobile connectivity.

Pros

  • Size: At 8.7 inches, the Tab A7 Lite is a perfect size for a tablet that can be effortlessly held in a single hand.
  • Price: The Tab A7 Lite can be purchased for anywhere between $170 and $200, which is an amazing price for a tablet from a premium manufacturer.
  • Synergy with Samsung account: Samsung users can link their account to the tablet seamlessly, allowing them to take calls and send texts from the comfort of your own tablet.

Cons

  • Camera: The low resolution camera pales in comparison to tablets from other premium brands.
  • Resolution: For such a large screen, the 1340 x 800 display is noticeably weaker than other tablets and smartphones currently on the market.
