Would never recommend bell, called and asked price to terminate contract but stay with bell to get a better rate plan and was charged double even though they said all call were recorded i asked to hear and for them to listen to it as well and they got very rude and even hung up on me

Been with bell for some time and didn't like their gradual markups and never give promotions. Recently signed up with Fizz and can say is probably the best cheap plan out there right now. I get free data too and they get carried over to the next month if not used. You'll need your own phone though and can cancel anytime. You can use the code AJAUI to get 40$ when you first sign up which can be used to pay the bill itself

I got locked into a "good deal"…
I got locked into a "good deal" corporate work plan offered by my employer, a major university, which resulted in wild $$$ data overages on my personal account.
This month alone this was equivalent to TWO unlimited data plans. I made many calls to try to organize a better fit and every other month or so got outrageous fees with no way to mitigate in a reasonable and ongoing fashion.
This was despite years of calling to make a better arrangement--going into stores, speaking to the executive team at their HQ and speaking to folks online.
Instead I had to make calls every month to negotiate, upload wild overages and get shut off while, for example, driving.
In August 2020, I had overages of over $200+++DURING COVID while I am AT HOME in a WIFI zone when I had also followed up with the executive team as instructed.
AVOID Bell.
Be careful ... they are totally unscrupulous. Beware of a gerbil wheel of temporary remedies with these guys. Go elsewhere.
I'm glad to have finished my contract and am leaving today for another company. I was going to get WIFI here, at a new apartment, with Bell but I've decided not to give them another penny after four years' highway robbery. It was expensive to get out but it would be more expensive to stay with them: death by a thousand cuts.

Canada is not a paradise for cell customers. It is a paradise for cell providers. They change the contract as they want. They make you pay a lot for a minimum of service. They cold-call you to offer you less service for more money.
You have 3 real cell providers, all the other are cover ups for them. The CRTC do nothing to provide real competition. I had so much problems with all of them it's incredible! And if you treat to go to the concurrent, they laugh at you since they are all together as ROBELUS.

Pricey, but good.

I've had issues with my phone for 10 months now. Dropped calls. Phone cuts in and out constantly. Texts disappear into cyber space. Neither the phone manufacturer nor Bell have been able to fix the problem yet I still pay $110 / month for this crap service on this crap device.

Great coverage, speeds, call quality. Probably not the cheapest

Bell, in general, is a good provider is you do not need to call customer service but been with most major service providers and they are average. Their loyalty department usually is pretty good.

If I could rate bell 0 i would. For the 7 years I have been with bell they have been nothing but awful when it comes to billing and customer service. I have had tons of hidden fees and scam charges (charging for disconnection when my bill is paid on time, long distnce calls I didn't make, roaming charges when I haven't travelled etc) Their rate plans are crazy expensive when compared to other companies and they offer zero benefit to loyalty. After 7 years I am thankful to be leaving my $100/mo shitty customer service sketchy scam bill behind for literally any other company. Good riddence.

Having multiple issues with Bell and after several calls, online chats, email, technical issues, service, bill, online account, upgrading, plan price and loyalty offer unsatisfactory and issues unresolved. Simply waiting for a good deal elsewhere so I can get as far away from Bell as possible.

i inqired about purchasing a new sim card for my new phone and they wouldn.t provide me one after saying i couldn't verify my account when i gave them my account number. i wouldn't do business again with them if it was free

They are too expensive. After being loyal for 30yrs, I am going elsewhere, where I can get a plan that is same features I want for $80 less.
Bundling in More Data I dont need isn't flexible, you just bumped up price so now i cant afford them. I use about 4GB/mos. I don't stream on it.

It works, they gave good price on my phone, now that I own my phone i can find better rates on BYOD plans than bell offers

Bell is a Massive pile of suck. They suck money out of their customers in any way that they can. They're not about the customer experience - they're about the shareholders bottom line. They add charges, fees or jack rate plan costs with little to no notice. They treat their existing customer base like dirt - but then harass you when you want to leave. 20 years with bell has bought me the same in market plan as every other customer coming in. Way to treat me as a "valued" customer.
