Pixel 6: Full Specifications

Google gave the Pixel 6 a much bolder identity than earlier models, with a distinctive horizontal camera bar, an aluminum frame and a solid in hand feel at 207 g. Its 6.4 inch OLED display runs at 1080 x 2400 with a smooth 90 Hz refresh rate, making it well suited to everyday browsing, streaming and photography without pushing into the larger Pro model’s footprint. Power comes from Google Tensor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, alongside Android 12 at launch and Google’s strong focus on on-device AI and security through the Titan M2 coprocessor. The dual rear camera system pairs a 50 MP main sensor with a 12 MP ultrawide, while the 8 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Rear video goes up to 4K at 60 fps, and Google also includes features such as optical and electronic stabilization, Cinematic Pan and Magic Eraser. A typical 4614 mAh battery, wired fast charging, wireless charging and Battery Share round out the package, with 5G, Wi Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and dual SIM support through nano SIM plus eSIM.

Pros

  • Camera: The Pixel is no stranger to great cameras. Fortunately, the Pixel 6 includes the best Pixel camera every designed. In addition to improved quality, the Pixel 6 also introduces new camera features such as Magic Eraser and Face Unblur.
  • Tensor Chipset: The new chipset from Google allows for intriguing new features. For example, when pointing the camera at text in a foreign language, it should be able to translate it right away.
  • Charging Speed: The Pixel 6 supports 30W wired charging and 21W wireless charging.

Cons

  • Refresh Rate: The device's 90Hz refresh rate is not as impressive as the Pixel 6 Pro's 120Hz.
  • Comparison to the Pixel 6 Pro: Overall, this phone's biggest flaw is its "older brother", the Pixel 6 Pro. Although the Pixel 6 is a great phone on its own, it falls short when compared to the Pro version's various improvements.
