Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max pairs a large format with the more premium finish of the 12 Pro line, using a flat stainless steel frame, a textured matte glass back and a Ceramic Shield front. Its 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display delivers a sharp 2778 x 1284 resolution at 458 ppi, with HDR support, True Tone and strong peak brightness for video and photos. Inside, the A14 Bionic chip keeps everyday use fast and responsive, while storage starts at 128GB and goes up to 512GB. The rear camera system combines 12MP wide, ultra wide and telephoto cameras, supported by LiDAR for faster focusing in low light and Night mode portraits. Apple also includes sensor-shift stabilization on the wide camera, 2.5x optical zoom in, Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 4K at 60 fps, and Apple ProRAW support for more flexible image editing. The phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, Ultra Wideband and dual SIM through nano-SIM plus eSIM, and it works with MagSafe accessories and wireless charging. At 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.4 mm and 228 g, it is unmistakably a large iPhone, but one designed with media use and camera performance in mind.

  • Incredible camera system: The iPhone Pro Max camera system is the most advanced ever used on an iPhone.
  • Big, amazing screen: The iPhone 12 Pro Max is the biggest iPhone Apple has ever done. At 6.7", the OLED screen is very big and very bright. It's the perfect phone to watch movies or play games.
  • The "best" iPhone: With all the features included in the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it's currently the most advanced Apple smartphone available.
  • Not too heavy: Even if the iPhone 12 Pro Max is big, it only weighs 226 grams making light enough to carry around and use for long periods of time.

Cons

  • Too big for some users: The drawback of having a large phone is that it's much harder to use one-handed. In the case of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the 6.7" screen is so big, it can become problematic to use one-handed or fit inside pockets
  • Expensive: The iPhone 12 Pro Max is packed with features, but it's also Apple's most expensive smartphone.
  • 60 Hz screen: While some other flagship Android devices have 120 Hz screens, the iPhone 12 Pro Max also has a 60 Hz screen (like the other iPhone 12 models). For such a premium device, it's a bit of a letdown.
  • No multitasking: Despite the screen size, there is no way to split the screen to use multiple apps at the same time like some Android phones can.
