Galaxy A17: Full Specifications

Samsung positions the Galaxy A17 as a straightforward 5G phone that focuses on the essentials without feeling bare-bones. Its 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display gives the device a sharper, richer look than many entry-level models, and the 90 Hz refresh rate helps everyday scrolling and navigation feel smoother. The slim 7.5 mm body also keeps it from seeming bulky despite the large screen. Inside, the Galaxy A17 uses Samsung’s Exynos 1330 processor and comes in configurations that start at 128 GB of storage, with microSD expansion available for much larger media libraries. The rear camera setup combines a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 5 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP macro camera, while the 13 MP front camera covers selfies and video calls. Video recording goes up to 1080p. A 5,000 mAh battery and 25 W charging round out a practical package built for daily communication, streaming and casual photography. The phone also supports 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and Nano-SIM with eSIM, while IP54 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus add a bit of extra resilience for everyday use.

Pros

  • Exceptional 6-year software support policy ensuring longevity.
  • Vibrant 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
  • Solid main camera with OIS and decent battery life.

Cons

  • Slow 25W charging speed compared to competitors.
  • Disappointing audio experience due to a single mono speaker.
  • Thick bezels and an outdated notch design.
