Samsung Galaxy S6 active: Full Specifications

Built as the tougher member of the Galaxy S6 family, the Samsung Galaxy S6 active combines flagship hardware with a more protective shell meant for rougher day to day use. Its IP68-rated body is water resistant, dust proof and designed to handle shocks better than the regular S6, while the front keeps practical physical navigation keys instead of capacitive buttons. The 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display delivers a sharp Quad HD resolution that still gives this compact model a crisp, high density look, and Samsung paired it with an octa-core 64-bit processor and 32GB of internal UFS 2.0 storage. Photography remains a strong point for its generation, with a 16 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, quick camera launch and 4K video recording at 30 fps. Battery life is one of its standout differences, thanks to a larger 3500 mAh battery, and the phone also supports embedded wireless charging. LTE connectivity, single nano-SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS and GLONASS round out the essentials. At 146.9 x 73.6 x 8.8 mm and 170 g, it is thicker and heavier than the standard S6, but that extra bulk is closely tied to its rugged character.
