Samsung gave the Galaxy S6 Edge a more sculptural look than most flagships of its era, pairing a slim metal frame with glass on both sides and a 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display that curves over the left and right edges. The screen’s 1440 x 2560 resolution and high pixel density keep text and images very sharp, while the compact body remains notably light at 132 g and just 7.0 mm thick. Inside, it uses Samsung’s octa core processor with 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, which positioned it as a premium Android handset with fast everyday performance for apps, media and multitasking. The main camera combines a 16 MP sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.9 lens, and the 5 MP front camera also uses an f/1.9 lens for brighter selfies and video calls. Samsung also equipped it with a fingerprint sensor, NFC, infrared, Wi Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE support, plus both fast wired charging and compatibility with WPC and AirFuel wireless charging for its 2600 mAh battery.

  • Display: The S6 Edge's screen is breathtaking and unique. It provides the user with a more immersive experience, even while mindlessly scrolling or texting.

Cons

  • Battery: The S6 Edge's 2600 mAh battery was considered small back in 2015, so it definitely hasn't withstood the test of time.
  • Comparison to the S7 Edge: The S6 Edge is simply inferior to the S7 Edge in every way. If you desperately want a Samsung phone with the Edge screen, you should probably go for the S7, especially if both devices are available with somewhat similar prices.
