TCL FLIP 3: Full Specifications

The TCL FLIP 3 is a compact clamshell phone aimed at buyers who want straightforward communication, physical keys, and fewer distractions. Its design focuses on usability, with large buttons, a simple menu system, a 3.2-inch internal LCD, and a 1.77-inch external display for checking calls and notifications without opening the phone. Performance is modest but appropriate for the category: a Qualcomm QM215 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, plus microSD expansion. The phone runs KaiOS, so it handles core functions such as calling, messaging, email, calendar, notes, and light web access, but the app environment is limited compared with Android or iPhone devices. For imaging, it includes a rear 5MP fixed-focus camera and basic video recording. Connectivity is one of its stronger points for a feature phone, with 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a nano-SIM slot. The removable 1850mAh battery is rated for long standby time, and the phone remains relatively pocketable at about 107.2 x 59.4 x 19.8 mm and roughly 143 g.

Pros

  • Easy flip design with dual displays
  • Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE support
  • Good standby battery life

Cons

  • Low-resolution internal screen
  • Very basic 5MP camera
  • Limited app ecosystem
