Moto E: Full Specifications

Motorola positioned the Moto E as a straightforward entry level smartphone with a larger screen and a cleaner Android experience than many low cost rivals of its time. Its 6.2 inch Max Vision IPS display uses a 720 x 1520 resolution, giving the phone a modern tall format that suits everyday browsing, messaging, streaming and casual apps. Performance is handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, plus microSD expansion for users who need more room for photos and downloads. The camera setup keeps things simple with a 13 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait style shots, and a 5 MP front camera, with Full HD video recording available. A 3550 mAh battery, rear fingerprint sensor, headphone jack and water repellent design round out the essentials, while 4G LTE, Wi Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 cover the core wireless features. Physically, it is a fairly substantial handset at 159.77 x 76.56 x 8.65 mm and 185 g, with a Micro USB port and a nano SIM tray.

Cons

  • Camera performance: For a phone released in 2020, the Moto E's camera performance could be way more impressive, especially for the front-facing camera.
  • Storage: The Moto E is only offered with 32G of storage. If a 64G version existed for a bit more money, we'd highly recommend it.
