Idol 4: Full Specifications

Rather than chasing flagship size, the Idol 4 focuses on balance and portability. Its 5.2-inch display uses a 1920 x 1080 resolution that keeps text, video and photos looking crisp, while the slim 7.1 mm body and 135 g weight make it easy to carry. Alcatel paired the phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow, along with 16GB of internal storage and support for microSD expansion, so there is room for apps, media and offline files beyond the built-in capacity. The camera setup combines a 13 MP rear camera with autofocus and an 8 MP front camera, and it supports 1080p video capture for everyday clips and video calls. Connectivity includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi with 2.4 and 5 GHz support, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and Micro-USB. A 2610 mAh battery, stereo speaker emphasis and Alcatel’s Boom Key features help define the phone’s personality, while some versions were also sold with VR goggles that leaned into its multimedia focus.
