I've used Phonebox twice for temporary stays in Canada and both times it has worked well with no issues. Both times I ordered a SIM card from a large online retailer with an amount of data already included.I can confirm they now issue Telus SIM cards (previously in 2023 I was issued a Rogers SIM.) Poor coverage specially when you travel within Quebec and Ontario. Even the service hub cities service breakdowns quite often. The big downside comes from their bill. Incomprehensible to a human. Lots of discounts that come and go over the months. You have to call to understand anything, especially if there are several services on the same bill like cell phone, internet etc. However, the service is impeccable and fast.
