Samsung positioned the Galaxy A5 as a stylish mid-range model, and its design remains one of its defining traits. The phone uses a slim full-metal unibody that measures 6.7 mm thick and weighs 123 g, giving it a compact and notably light feel for a 5-inch device. Its 5.0-inch HD Super AMOLED display is aimed at vivid colour and strong contrast, while a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM handles everyday communication, browsing, streaming, and social apps. Internal storage comes in at 16 GB, with a microSD slot for extra space up to 64 GB. Photography includes a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, plus a 5MP front camera supported by features such as Wide Selfie and Rear-cam Selfie, reflecting the phone’s social focus. The Galaxy A5 also supports LTE Cat 4, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS, with NFC available on LTE versions. A 2,300 mAh battery powers the device, and the original software platform is Android 4.4 KitKat.
