Samsung gave the Galaxy S6 a more upscale direction than earlier Galaxy models, with a slim glass and metal body that still feels distinctly compact by modern standards. Its 5.1 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display is especially sharp, and the handset pairs that screen with an octa core Exynos 7420 chip and 3 GB of RAM. Storage came in 32 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB versions using fast UFS 2.0 memory, which helped the phone feel quick and responsive in everyday use. The camera setup includes a 16 MP rear sensor with optical image stabilization and a 5 MP front camera, while video recording reaches 4K at 30 fps. Samsung also built in practical flagship features for its era, including a fingerprint sensor, NFC, Wi Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and support for a single nano SIM. The 2550 mAh battery supports both wired fast charging and built in wireless charging. At about 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm and 138 g, the Galaxy S6 remains a notably light and pocket friendly Android phone with a polished finish and a strong emphasis on display quality.

  • Size: As smartphones are continuously getting larger, the S6 is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
  • Buttons: If you miss your smartphones having buttons (rather than a giant touchscreen), you may want to try out the S6.

Cons

  • Accessibility: The S6 has been discontinued and may be difficult to find.
  • Time: Sadly, this phone has not withstood the test of time very well. All modern Samsung devices are far beyond the S6 in terms of performance and appearance.
