Samsung positioned the Galaxy S7 as a compact flagship, and it still stands out for packing high end hardware into a manageable 5.1 inch format. Its Quad HD Super AMOLED display delivers a sharp 1440 x 2560 resolution, while the glass and metal body keeps the phone slim at 7.9 mm and relatively light at 152 g. The design also brought back practical touches that mattered at the time, including IP68 water and dust resistance and expandable storage through microSD, alongside 32 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. Performance is driven by an octa core platform, paired with Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch. Photography is a major part of the S7’s appeal, with a 12 MP rear camera using Samsung’s Dual Pixel technology, optical image stabilization, a bright f/1.7 lens, and 4K video recording, plus a 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. A 3000 mAh battery supports adaptive fast charging as well as built in wireless charging. Connectivity includes Wi Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and a nano SIM setup, making the Galaxy S7 a well rounded premium cell phone focused on display quality, camera performance and everyday convenience.

  • Battery: The S7's 3000 mAh battery could be larger, especially when the S7 Edge has one.
  • Fingerprints: Aside from the screen, the S7 is notorious for picking up fingerprint marks. Make sure to equip a phone case to prevent this from happening to you!
