Built as a true work phone, the Sonim XP8 centres its appeal on toughness and dependable field use rather than slim styling. Its 5-inch display uses a sharp 1080 x 1920 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3, while the thick reinforced body is rated IP68 and IP69K and tested to MIL-STD-810G standards. Sonim also highlights wet-finger and glove-friendly operation, which suits job sites and other demanding environments. Inside, the XP8 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, plus microSD expansion up to 128 GB. The 4900 mAh removable battery is another practical touch, with Quick Charge 3.0 support over USB-C and battery life aimed at long shifts. A 12 MP rear camera with flash and an 8 MP front camera cover basic photo and video needs, while dual front-facing speakers, noise-cancelling microphones and support for Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE reinforce its communication focus.
