Opposite the Z Flip 4, the Z Flip 5 will feature a larger external screen, allowing more information to be displayed. Samsung is also expected to equip it with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, already found in the Galaxy S23. The camera, which had evolved very little on the Z Flip 4 compared to the Z Flip 3, should finally progress, but Samsung has yet to reveal anything on this subject. Finally, it should offer a battery with a slightly higher capacity.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 5 brings the compact flip format into a more practical everyday phone, with a larger 3.4 inch cover display that can handle widgets, notifications and quick replies without opening the device. Unfolded, it reveals a 6.7 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen with a smooth adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate and a 2640 x 1080 resolution, while the redesigned Flex Hinge helps it close neatly for a slimmer folded profile. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy with 8 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, giving it flagship level responsiveness for daily apps, multitasking and media. Its dual rear camera system pairs a 12 MP wide camera with OIS and Dual Pixel autofocus with a 12 MP ultra wide, and the 10 MP front camera supports selfies and video calls, with up to 4K video recording at 60 fps. A 3700 mAh dual battery supports 25 W wired charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 also supports 5G, Wi Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, nano SIM plus eSIM, and it adds IPX8 water resistance, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an Armor Aluminum frame to round out its polished foldable design.
