Several changes are in store for the next Z Fold 5, starting with the design. We'll be saying goodbye to the screen-holding bar, which should disappear to offer a more fluid look, while the screen when folded should create a loop to minimize branding. Its processor should evolve, and we'll find the Snapdragon 8 Gen already in place on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Otherwise, Samsung has already announced that the Fold Z5 will be IP68 certified, so it will be able to withstand dust and water immersion for 30 minutes. Performance is led by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy with 12 GB of RAM, and storage ranges from 256 GB to 1 TB depending on version. The rear camera system combines a 50 MP main camera with 12 MP ultrawide and 10 MP telephoto lenses, supported by 3x optical zoom and up to 8K video recording, while the device also includes a 10 MP cover selfie camera and a 4 MP under-display camera inside. A 4,400 mAh dual battery supports 25 W wired charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, UWB and SIM plus eSIM support round out a highly connected book-style foldable that weighs 253 g.
