Apple’s iPhone 6s keeps the familiar 4.7 inch format of the iPhone 6 but refines it with a sturdier 7000 series aluminium body, ion strengthened glass and the addition of 3D Touch for pressure sensitive shortcuts and previews. It uses Apple’s A9 chip with the embedded M9 motion coprocessor, a combination introduced with iOS 9 that gave this model a clear step up in speed and responsiveness for everyday apps, photography and navigation. The Retina HD display has a 1334 x 750 resolution at 326 ppi, balancing sharp text with a compact size that remains easy to handle in one hand. Camera upgrades were a major part of this generation, including a 12 MP rear camera with Focus Pixels autofocus, Live Photos, panorama up to 63 MP and 4K video at 30 fps, plus a 5 MP FaceTime HD front camera with Retina Flash. Depending on the version, storage ranges from 16 GB to 128 GB. Apple lists up to 10 hours of internet use on LTE, dual band Wi Fi with 802.11ac, LTE Advanced, Bluetooth 4.2, Touch ID, a Lightning port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and nano SIM support. The phone measures 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm and weighs 143 g.
