The Moto E offers a decent performance overall. Its camera and performance are acceptable, but far from the best. Overall, the Moto E is more appealing due to its price point. For a bit over $150 CAD, you can purchase a very aesthetically pleasing device that checks off all the basic boxes of a modern smartphone.

Pros

  • Audio: The Moto E boasts impressive external speakers for its price.
  • Design: The Moto E looks like a great phone. Its screen, subtle notch and discreet fingerprint scanner all work together to make it one of the prettiest budget devices on the market.

Cons

  • Camera performance: For a phone released in 2020, the Moto E's camera performance could be way more impressive, especially for the front-facing camera.
  • Storage: The Moto E is only offered with 32G of storage. If a 64G version existed for a bit more money, we'd highly recommend it.
