Sonim XP5Plus (no Knobs): Full Specifications

Instead of following the usual smartphone formula, the Sonim XP5Plus (no Knobs) focuses on field-ready communication in a compact candybar design with a physical keypad and dedicated PTT, volume and emergency keys. Its 2.8-inch TFT display uses Gorilla Glass 3 and keeps the interface simple, while the Sonim operating system based on AOSP Android 11 runs on a Qualcomm SM6115 octa-core platform with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. A microSD card can expand capacity up to 512 GB. The phone supports LTE, UMTS and GSM networks, dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, making it suitable for voice, messaging, navigation and basic connected tasks. An 8 MP rear camera with flash handles photos and 1080p video, and the removable 3500 mAh battery is rated for up to 30 hours of talk time and up to 600 hours of standby. Sonim also equips it with dual front-facing speakers rated above 100 dB, dual microphones with noise and echo cancellation, USB-C, charging pins and a SecureAudio connector. At 148.7 x 65.9 x 21 mm and 275 g, the no-knobs version is shorter than the knob-equipped model while keeping the same highly rugged build.
