iPhone Se (2022): New & Refurbished Prices in Canada

Apple

2022's iPhone SE 3 is a huge update to their line of budget phones. Despite being considerably cheaper than most other iPhones, the SE is still a very powerful device. Additionally, its smaller size and inclusion of a home button may feel nostalgic for classic iPhone fans. Overall, the new SE proves that great things can come in small packages.

iPhone Se (2022): Full Specifications

Apple’s iPhone Se (2022) keeps a familiar compact format that stands apart from most modern smartphones. It uses a 4.7 inch Retina HD LCD display with True Tone, Haptic Touch, and a sharp 1334 x 750 resolution, all housed in a body that measures 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm and weighs 144 g. The classic Home button remains in place with Touch ID, which gives the phone an unmistakably traditional iPhone feel while still supporting current conveniences like Apple Pay, 5G, Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual SIM through nano SIM and eSIM. Inside, the A15 Bionic chip brings notably strong everyday performance for apps, games, and photography tasks, while storage options include 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. The rear 12 MP camera pairs an f/1.8 lens with optical image stabilization and computational features such as Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Portrait mode. Video recording goes up to 4K at 60 fps, and the 7 MP front camera also supports Portrait mode and 1080p video. Apple rates the battery for up to 15 hours of local video playback, and the phone supports both Qi wireless charging and fast charging with a compatible adapter.

Pros

  • Price: For such an affordable phone, the iPhone SE is a highly capable device that doesn't feel limited.
  • 5G: The SE is Apple's smallest, most affordable 5G smartphone. Hopefully, more users will be able to experience the lighting-fast speeds of 5G as it becomes more accesible.

Cons

  • Camera: The phone's two cameras pale in comparison to cameras included in flagship iPhones.
  • Storage: The iPhone SE can either include 64GB, 128GB or 256GB with prices increasing significantly for more storage.
