TCL 20s: Full Specifications

The TCL 20s is a large-format Android phone built around media viewing, everyday performance and a flexible camera setup. Its 6.67-inch Full HD+ display uses TCL’s NXTVISION image enhancements, and the phone pairs that big screen with stereo speakers for a more expansive feel when streaming video or gaming. The design keeps a practical edge despite its size, with a side-mounted fingerprint reader built into the power key, face unlock, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and room for a microSD card up to 1 TB alongside its 128 GB of storage. Power comes from a Snapdragon 665 processor with 4 GB of RAM in the North American variant, running Android 11 out of the box. Around back, the quad-camera system combines a 64 MP main camera with 8 MP ultra wide, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth sensors, while the 16 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Video capture goes up to 4K at 30 fps on the rear camera. A 5000 mAh battery supports long use between charges, and the phone includes LTE, Wi-Fi ac, NFC, USB-C and single nano-SIM support in a body measuring 166.2 x 76.9 x 9.1 mm and weighing 199 g.

Pros

  • Headphone jack: Thankfully, the 20S comes with a headphone jack, as well as powerfully load speakers.
  • Display: The 20S' screen is gorgeous. The tiny notch at the top allows for a larger, more immersive display.
  • Battery: The 20S boasts a 5000 mAh battery, enough to last a couple of days with low usage.

Cons

  • Feels premium, but isn't: Although the 20S is an impressive device, there are certain features it simply can't accomplish with its lower cost. For one, its camera and processing power are not nearly as strong as flagship devices from Samsung and Apple. In addition, it has no 5G functionality.
