Samsung positions the Galaxy A71 as a large-screen mid-range phone that puts display size, battery life and camera versatility at the centre of the experience. Its slim body measures 163.6 x 76.0 x 7.7 mm and weighs 179 g, giving it a relatively light feel for a 6.7-inch device, while the Infinity-O design and Super AMOLED Plus panel deliver a bright, expansive front with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. The phone uses an octa-core processor with 6 GB of RAM in this version and 128 GB of internal storage, plus a microSD slot for added space. Samsung also equips it with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4,500 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, which suits long days of streaming, messaging and general multitasking. Photography is one of its defining traits, with a 64 MP main camera joined by 12 MP ultra wide, 5 MP macro and 5 MP depth cameras, plus a 32 MP front camera. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30 fps. Dual nano-SIM support, LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB-C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack round out a feature set that remains notably complete for its class.

Cons

  • No wireless charging: Unfortunately, wireless charging is not compatible with the A71.
  • 5G model: The A71 is not compatible with 5G. If you want to experience 5G, you can buy the Galaxy A71 5G, which is more expensive than the base model.
