Samsung’s Galaxy A51 is a slim, large-screen 4G phone built around a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a centred hole-punch front camera. Its design keeps a light, manageable feel at 172 g, with a glossy finish, a plastic frame and back, and a front protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The handset uses Samsung’s octa-core platform, listed by GSMArena as the Exynos 9611, and was sold in several memory versions, including 128 GB storage with microSD expansion and 4 GB RAM on Samsung’s unlocked North American model. Photography is a major part of the package, with a 48 MP main camera joined by 12 MP ultra wide, 5 MP macro, and 5 MP depth sensors, while the 32 MP selfie camera sits neatly within the display. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30 fps, and Samsung also highlighted steady video features through the ultra wide camera. A 4,000 mAh battery with 15 W fast charging, USB-C, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS support, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack round out a well-equipped mid-range cellular option that still feels versatile for everyday communication, streaming, and casual photography.

Cons

  • Lack of water resistance: The A51 is prone to water damage, be careful!
  • Processing speed: Sadly, users have reported occasional lagging and buffering when pushing the phone to its limits. While this may be somewhat expected for a cheaper device, it's still bad news for Samsung.
