Using eSim

I've been a customer for years. Up until now, everything has been perfect. The initial setup and connection went smoothly (without assistance). Everything works well. It's simple, accessible, user-friendly, and affordable. I immediately created an eSIM. It took two minutes. I've found plenty of different options. I really like the rewards system. With my referral code, you earn a $10 bill credit

Fizz vs Public Mobile

Fizz and Public Mobile stand out as appealing options for consumers looking for high-quality, low-cost mobile plans in Canada’s competitive telecommunications market. This in-depth comparison (Fizz vs Public Mobile), which focuses on customer service, internet access, and phone services, aims to educate consumers about the significant differences between the two providers.
Logo Fizz

Fizz is a telecommunications service provider based in Canada, founded in 2018. Fizz, a well-known telecommunications company in Canada, quickly established itself as an innovative choice for Canadians looking for flexible and transparent communication options. Fizz’s customer-centric approach and user-friendly online platform enable users to customize their plans without making long-term commitments. Fizz has grown to become a leader in the Canadian telecommunications industry as a result of its autonomy and customer collaboration philosophy.

Fizz’s dedication to its clients and desire to build a relationship based on trust and cooperation allowed it to rise to the top of the Canadian telecom market very quickly. Fizz exhibits its willingness to go beyond the established bounds of the telecom industry and to deliver a remarkable customer experience by customizing solutions to meet the needs of each individual user.

Former Bell employee Alek Krstajic founded Public Mobile in March 2010. In contrast to Fizz, Public Mobile started out as a stand-alone BYOD (bring your own device) operator in 2009 and has since amassed 48.3 million dollars. It is one of the independent operators that the Canadian government established to encourage competition in the mobile phone industry. Public Mobile has focused on low-income individuals since its founding.

In addition to providing affordable plans, the operator has implemented strategies to reduce customers’ bills while engaging them. By sharing codes and assisting other forum users, they help Public Mobile gain visibility, allowing them to earn points and save money on their plans. As a result, they can earn as many points per action as they deduct from their subscription, up to $20 per month. This policy contributed to the rapid success of this approach. Telus acquired Public Mobile in 2013, which had more than 280,000 customers in Toronto, Niagara, Hamilton, and Montreal.

Call quality

Comparing the call quality of Fizz and Public Mobile can be difficult due to a variety of factors such as network coverage and infrastructure quality.

Fizz, a Vidéotron-owned company, uses the LTE network to provide high-quality calls in areas where Vidéotron has coverage. However, quality may be compromised in less developed regions.

On the other hand, even in more remote areas, Public Mobile, which uses Telus’ network, generally enjoys extensive coverage and consistent call quality. However, it is possible that some rural areas will experience connectivity issues. In terms of sound quality and call reliability, Public Mobile typically has an advantage, though this can vary depending on the user’s geographical location.

Individual experiences may vary depending on the quality of the devices and network parameters. Although some Fizz users benefit from excellent audio clarity and reliable connectivity, others may experience reception issues. Similarly, while Public Mobile generally provides a stable call quality, factors such as network congestion can occasionally result in poor call quality. When comparing call quality between Fizz and Public Mobile, customers must consider their geographical location as well as their network coverage requirements.

Technologies

Fizz and Public Mobile primarily use LTE (Long Term Evolution) and 4G cellular networks, which provide users with fast data speeds and consistent connectivity. Fizz benefits from Vidéotron’s advanced LTE network, which offers extensive coverage and fast download speeds. Furthermore, Fizz’s Wi-Fi Calling feature enables users to make calls via Wi-Fi networks in areas with limited cellular coverage.

Public Mobile, on the other hand, uses Telus’ network and offers advanced LTE technology across Canada. Both operators provide their customers with prepaid, no-contract services, giving them more flexibility and customization to meet a variety of communication needs.

Cellular plans

Fizz offers two attractive plans. The first plan offers unlimited calls and 20 GB of data for $27 per month, while the second plan includes unlimited calls and 30 GB of data for $34 per month.

On the other hand, Public Mobile provides two competitive packages. Its first plan costs $34 per month and includes unlimited calls and an impressive 50 GB of data. The second plan, which includes unli

Finally, when compared to Public Mobile, Fizz provides a lower-cost plan with a 20 GB data allocation. Fizz’s plan, which includes unlimited calls and 20 GB of data for $27 per month, is less expensive than Public Mobile’s, which has the same features but costs $29. Fizz is a more affordable option than Public Mobile for a plan that includes 20 GB of data and unlimited calls. We greatly appreciate your patience and corrections.

Network coverage

When choosing a mobile operator, network coverage is a crucial factor to consider. As a brand owned by Vidéotron, Fizz benefits from Vidéotron’s robust LTE network, which covers the major urban regions of Quebec and Eastern Ontario. However, coverage may be less extensive, and users might encounter areas with weaker reception outside of these central zones. In contrast, Public Mobile utilizes Telus’ network, which is one of the leading telecommunications operators in Canada.

This enables Public Mobile to provide extensive coverage throughout the country, including rural and remote areas. Even in less populated areas, Public Mobile users report stable and reliable connections. If extensive network coverage is a priority, Public Mobile may be a safer option, whereas Fizz may be better suited to those who primarily live in Vidéotron-served urban areas.

Reputation and differences

Fizz and Public Mobile, Canada’s telecommunications service providers, each have their own reputation and characteristics. Fizz, a Vidéotron brand, is frequently regarded as the industry’s newer and more innovative alternative. Fizz has developed a loyal customer base through its community-focused approach and flexible plans, which primarily appeal to young people and tech enthusiasts. Users can easily customize and manage their plans on the online platform, resulting in a modern and convenient experience.

However, Public Mobile, which is owned by Telus, is well-known for its stability and reliability. Telus, a well-known telecommunications provider in Canada, has a robust network infrastructure and excellent customer service. Public Mobile’s prepaid, contract-free model stands out by appealing to customers who want flexibility and control over their monthly expenses. Furthermore, the service offerings of Public Mobile and Fizz differ, with Public Mobile emphasizing simplicity and value through pre-established plans at competitive rates, whereas Fizz focuses on plan customization and community engagement.

Finally, the decision between Fizz and Public Mobile is based on your specific mobile service needs, whether you prefer customization or simplicity, and whether you prioritize community engagement or network reliability.

So, which one will you choose: Fizz or Public Mobile?

In conclusion, both Fizz and Public Mobile provide appealing telecommunications options for Canadian customers. Each solution has its own advantages and distinguishing characteristics. Fizz stands out due to its innovative community-centric approach, customizable plans, and customer engagement. On the other hand, Public Mobile is well-known for its dependability, simplicity, and excellent value for money. Individual preferences for mobile services, such as customization, simplicity, network coverage, or operator reputation, influence the decision between these two providers. Whether you choose Fizz or Public Mobile, you can expect to find a mobile communication solution that meets your needs in Canada.
