I have had so many problems with them. Getting ahold of a customer service agent is a nightmare, they really don't want to talk to you, they want you to talk to a robot and handle it yourself and they make you jump through so many hoops to speak to a real person that most people would just give up.
And then once you finally reach a person, most, not all, but most of the Koodo representatives I have spoken to are unhelpful, uncaring and at times downright rude.
Usually when I call for a representative it has been because I have been charged more money than I agreed to in my plan, and this has happened MULTIPLE TIMES. I dont want to have data, I just want basic calling and texting, so instead of just not turning on the data button I have to PAY to not use a service I don't use, I find that ridiculous. It started as $3 a mo th, but increased to $5 without informing me, and I didn't find out it had been raised until months later.
If I don't pay for a data block then I get charged $13 extra because my phone uses data in the background and I cannot turn that off without apparently paying for a data block. And now I am jumping through hoops once again trying to figure out why I was charged an extra $10 on my latest bill.
The representatives do not care that you are paying more than you should. I was given a refund once and was told the next time I happened that the other person should not have done that. I am paying for your service, I am giving you my money, I do not need to be charged extra, you are ALREADY getting my money!! I have decided I will be switching providers, I am so unhappy and completely FED UP with Koodo.
With Telus I stayed because I was considered a long time customer habing been with them since I was 12, and they would call me to offer me deals. And even though Koodo is under the same umbrella company of Telus, that doesnt mean anything anymore.
I am leaving Koodo, there is very little they can do to keep me at this point short of halving my phone bill. I am researching other providers right now and once I've made my decision, I'm gone.
Absolutely horrible company, especially if you don't want data, and I will be telling everyone I know not to go with Koodo.
